The FIA Stewards issued a 10-second time penalty to Gabriel Bortoleto for causing a collision with Carlos Sainz at Turn 2 during the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, rejecting restart leniency after finding the Audi driver was wholly to blame.
