At a glance

  • Adrian Newey, Allan McNish and Marcin Budkowski are scheduled for the United States GP teams’ press conference on Friday 23 October at 14:30 Austin time.
  • Thursday’s six-driver list includes Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli, with two published slots at 13:30 and 14:00.
  • Saturday’s conference will feature the three fastest qualifiers; Sunday’s will feature the first three race finishers.

Adrian Newey of Aston Martin, Allan McNish of Audi and Marcin Budkowski of Cadillac form the announced Friday press-conference line-up for the 2026 United States Grand Prix. Their session is scheduled between the opening two practice sessions, with Formula 1 allocating an hour from 14:30 local time.

The FIA’s announcement, dated 21 October, names the participants across Thursday and Friday. For the remaining two days, places in the media room depend on qualifying and race results.

Friday’s team session fits between practice runs

The Friday conference brings together representatives from Aston Martin, Audi and Cadillac. The FIA lists a 14:30 start, while Formula 1’s full weekend timetable gives the session a 14:30–15:30 window.

First practice is scheduled for 12:30–13:30, so the conference begins an hour after that session ends. Second practice follows at 16:00, half an hour after the scheduled conference finish.

Six drivers listed for Thursday

The Thursday roster comprises Piastri for McLaren, Isack Hadjar for Red Bull, Carlos Sainz for Williams, Valtteri Bottas for Cadillac, Hamilton for Ferrari and Antonelli for Mercedes.

The FIA publishes two times, 13:30 and 14:00, alongside those six names. The available announcement does not explicitly assign individual drivers to either slot or specify a timezone for Thursday’s times.

Across the four days, the announced programme is:

Date Conference timing Scheduled participants

DateFriday 23 October Conference timing14:30–15:30 Austin time Scheduled participantsNewey, McNish, Budkowski
DateSaturday 24 October Conference timingPost-qualifying; F1 lists 17:00–18:00 Austin time Scheduled participantsThree fastest qualifiers
DateSunday 25 October Conference timingPost-race Scheduled participantsFirst three finishers

Weekend results determine the final speakers

Saturday qualifying is scheduled for 16:00–17:00 local time, immediately before Formula 1’s listed press-conference window. The FIA identifies the participants by their qualifying performance rather than naming drivers in advance.

Sunday follows the same results-dependent approach, with the first three finishers due to attend after the Grand Prix. The race is scheduled to start at 15:00, and Formula 1 lists a 15:00–17:00 race window. The FIA gives no fixed clock time for the subsequent conference.

Formula 1 identifies its timetable as local time, with Austin five hours behind UTC, and marks the schedule as subject to change.
