Event Schedule and Class Overview
An initial entry list featuring 37 cars has been published for the 2027 24H Kyalami, which is scheduled to take place between 8th and 10th January. The twice-around-the-clock endurance contest replaces the 24H Series Middle East Trophy as organizer Creventic's winter offering for next January. Although registration remains open for additional competitors, this preliminary document provides an early overview of the teams confirmed across five primary classes: GT3, 992, GTX, GT4, and TCE.
GT3 Category and Manufacturer Breakdown
Fourteen cars form the premier GT3 category, which features two local teams among its ranks. Into Africa Racing will field the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2, while MJR Motorsport campaigns the #37 Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II. Porsche currently holds the numerical advantage within the division, courtesy of four single-car entries from Car Collection Motorsport, Razoon – more than racing, Herberth Motorsport, and Mühlner Motorsport. Sainteloc Junior Team and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport join MJR to establish a three-car Audi roster. The remaining provisional GT3 contingent consists of a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo entered by Baron Motorsport, Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO machinery fielded by both GetSpeed and Viper Niza Racing, Comtoyou Racing representing Aston Martin, a BMW M4 GT3 Evo from Century Motorsport, and ARC Bratislava's #44 Lamborghini.
Two Generations of Cup Cars in 992
The 992 class is split between two distinct car choices, with participating teams able to choose between the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) and, for the first time in Creventic competition, the newer Porsche 911 Cup (992.2). Red Camel-Jordans.nl, Mühlner Motorsport, and GP Racing Team have opted for the latter specification. Meanwhile, six remaining entries are set to stick with the previous-generation model. That group includes three cars from Seblajoux Racing—with one entered under the 'SHR Abssa by Seblajoux Racing' banner—as well as single cars from Chazel Technologie Course and MJR Motorsport, alongside a second Mühlner Motorsport entry.
GTX and GT4 Contenders
In GTX, four cars are entered. Vortex V8 will field a pair of Vortex 2.0s to battle against the #710 Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo2 and Speed Lover's #778 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992). Another four machines make up the GT4 field, where Circuit Toys has entered two Toyota GR Supra GT4 Evo2s to compete head-to-head against Team Africa Le Mans' pair of Ginetta G55 GT4s.
TCE Field and Multi-Generation Ginettas
Finally, six TCE runners complete the provisional 37-car grid. Three Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS (982) racers have been entered, comprising two from SRS Team Sorg Rennsport and one from asBest Racing. Furthermore, asBest Racing has registered a Cupra TCR DSG in the TCE-TCX class. Rounding out the category, British outfit CWS Engineering will field two separate generations of Ginetta machinery, entering both an older G55 and a newer G56.
