Encouraging Form in Austin and Mexico
Arvid Lindblad arrives at the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix in São Paulo encouraged following two weekends that he considers positive in Austin and Mexico. The Racing Bulls driver stated that the recent rounds assisted the evolution of his performance, especially after feeling that he had lost part of his rhythm behind the wheel. Lindblad explained that the team took many learnings from both races and that the two outings represented a step forward, particularly after he felt he had lost some of his previous rhythm.
Underlying Pace Across Mexico Weekend
Although the expected result was not achieved in Mexico, performance was displayed across the weekend. For the driver, the pace and performance demonstrated by the team are positive points ahead of the upcoming rounds of Formula 1. Lindblad noted that while it was a shame not to leave Mexico with the outcome the team had anticipated, showing strong pace and performance throughout the entire weekend was an important takeaway.
Preparing for Interlagos Debut
Attention now shifts to Interlagos, where Lindblad faces an unprecedented experience at the Brazilian circuit. The upcoming São Paulo Grand Prix marks the first time he will race at the iconic track, which he described as a historic and interesting venue due to its layout characteristics. Lindblad expressed enthusiasm for the challenge, pointing out that the circuit offers numerous overtaking opportunities and noting that weather has frequently played an important role there, setting up what he expects to be an interesting weekend.
Diwali Helmet Design and Family Presence
The Grand Prix in São Paulo will also carry a special meaning away from the track. Lindblad will race with a helmet inspired by Diwali, the Hindu religious festival also known as the festival of lights, and will have his grandparents present at Interlagos. Lindblad explained that competing at the circuit with his Diwali-inspired helmet will make the occasion even more special, adding that having his grandparents there to share the moment will make it a truly emotional experience.
