Event Dates and Formula 2 Debut

Dates and ticketing details have been announced for the 2027 Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix, scheduled to take place from October 29 to 31, 2027, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. In an addition to the race weekend, the event will incorporate Formula 2 for the first time in the history of the grand prix. The junior category's arrival marks a historic moment with the potential presence of Mexican drivers, including Noel León, who currently competes for Campos Racing, and Rafael Villagómez, who races for Van Amersfoort Racing.

Priority Window for Previous Ticket Holders

The ticketing timeline begins with a priority purchasing phase for spectators who previously acquired the Right of First Option (DPO) benefit during the Mexico Grand Prix 2026 ticket sale. These fans receive an exclusive opportunity to keep their identical seats from 2026 for the 2027 edition. The purchase window runs across November 5 and 6, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Eligible purchasers will receive an email providing access to the MexicoGP Account Manager, where they enter the “Invoice” menu, select their tickets, and complete payment. This stands as the only period to secure the same seats; if tickets are not purchased during these dates, they will be released for sale to the general public.

Banking Pre-Sales and Payment Terms

Banking pre-sales will follow on November 9 and 10 starting at 10:00 a.m., operating exclusively through the Ticketmaster portal. This phase features the Banamex Pre-sale alongside the Banorte Advance Sale. Customers using Banamex or Banorte credit cards will have access to 6 or 12 months without interest, whereas debit card holders can complete payment in a single installment. In addition, the Banamex Pre-sale offers exclusive availability for Cool Room Banamex tickets as well as Speed Lounge Banamex passes.

General Sale and Grandstand Allocations

The general sale will take place on November 11 starting at 10:00 a.m. on Ticketmaster. During this phase, fans will find a broad selection of tickets, along with new combined options for Grandstand 8 and Grandstand 9 with Speed Lounge Rosa. Additionally, Grandstand 7 will offer more seats while maintaining its price.

Purchasing Restrictions and Circuit Improvements

To promote a fairer and more dynamic sale, ticket availability has been established across each sales phase, with an enforced maximum limit of eight tickets per transaction. Due to the high demand observed in recent years, spectators planning to purchase tickets are advised to prepare in advance and maintain patience during the virtual queue and checkout process. Ticketmaster can process up to 4,000 transactions per minute, although demand can surpass system capacity at certain peak times. The 2027 event will also feature significant investment to optimise space, carrying out reconfigurations across various areas of the venue to enhance the spectator experience.
