The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile has released full capacity grids for the upcoming 73rd running of the Macau Grand Prix, scheduled for 19 to 22 November 2026. The confirmed Macau Grand Prix entry lists, published in the official FIA entry bulletin, lock in 68 competitors representing 34 countries and territories across three headline FIA World Cups on the demanding 6.120-kilometre Guia Circuit. Organised alongside the Automobile General Association Macao-China, the end-of-season festival brings capacity fields to Formula Regional, GT, and Formula 4 categories.

Macau’s annual street fixture also stages the final round of the 2026 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, which decides its title in the traditional Guia Race established in 1972. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem praised the expanding international representation, thanking the local government and organizing committee for delivering four distinct motorsport competitions. Official event coverage for the three World Cup categories will stream live and free of charge on the FIA’s official YouTube channel.

Formula Regional Field and the Debut of Gen2 Machinery

The FIA Formula Regional World Cup anchors the single-seater schedule with a capacity 26-car entry distributed across 13 two-car teams. Drivers will contest a qualifying sprint to determine the starting positions for Sunday’s decisive 15-lap, 91.800-kilometre Grand Prix. Formula Regional machinery replaced Formula 3 at Macau in 2024 to reflect shifts in the international junior single-seater landscape.

This year marks the competition debut of the Gen2 Formula Regional ruleset at Macau, with all 26 entrants driving identical Tatuus T-326 chassis. The new machinery succeeds the previous Tatuus T-318 models, which utilised a 1.742-litre turbocharged inline-four engine developed by Autotecnica and Alfa Romeo during the 2024 and 2025 editions.

To enhance wheel-to-wheel action through narrow street sectors, the Gen2 cars incorporate a push-to-pass Race Mode system. FIA Single-Seater Commission President Emanuele Pirro highlighted the system as a key technical addition that will inject extra tactical drama into street racing. Understanding how straight-line speed combines with circuit features that influence overtaking will prove crucial as drivers navigate Macau’s tight braking zones.

The single-seater entry features a blend of international junior talent across prominent outfits. Pinnacle Motorsport will run Enzo Deligny and Hiyu Yamakoshi, while ART Grand Prix fields Evan Giltaire alongside Taito Kato. Prema Racing enters Alex Powell and Salim Hanna, MP Motorsport brings Mattia Colnaghi and Sebastian Wheldon, and Rodin Motorsport campaigns Alex Ninovic alongside British racer Reza Seewooruthun.

Macau Grand Prix Entry Lists Reveal Expanded Formula 4 Grid

Significant structural adjustments define the second running of the FIA Formula 4 World Cup, where the confirmed entry list reported by Pitpass Debrief verifies an enlarged 24-car field. The category has abandoned the centrally managed fleet used during its 2025 debut in favour of a conventional multi-team competition model.

Twelve independent teams hailing from 10 different nations will each field a pair of Pirelli-shod Tatuus F4-T421 cars. This expansion from 20 to 24 entries provides a wider cohort of junior drivers with their initial competitive taste of the Guia Circuit’s tight barriers and blind apexes.

The revised formula reinforces Macau’s established role as an integrated training ground within the junior ladder. Pirro noted that four of the top five finishers from the inaugural 2025 F4 World Cup have already graduated to the 2026 Formula Regional grid. Most notably, inaugural F4 Macau winner Jules Roussel returns to the Guia Circuit this season to contest the Formula Regional World Cup with Van Amersfoort Racing.

GT World Cup Showcases Eight Manufacturers for GT3 Anniversary

Sports car competition receives equal billing as the FIA GT World Cup marks the 20th anniversary of the GT3 technical regulations. An 18-car grid will assemble on the Macau streets for the sprint showcase, representing a record eight different automotive manufacturers. FIA GT Commission President Lutz Leif Linden described the contest as an indispensable proving ground that unites endurance specialists and sprint racers in a vital regional market.

The manufacturer contingent is bolstered by the high-profile return of British marque Aston Martin to the Guia Circuit’s GT3 ranks. The sprint format places severe demands on drivers, offering no margin for error around the perimeter walls with lengthy waterfront straights followed by tight braking zones.

Complementing the GT sprint and single-seater World Cups, touring car racing returns via the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour season finale. As the eighth and concluding round of the international tour, the Guia Race maintains a tradition that has formed an essential part of Macau Grand Prix week since 1972. The schedule brings single-seaters, GT3 cars and touring cars together during the same race week.
