Homestead Hosts NASCAR Tripleheader Finale
NASCAR will crown all three of its national champions this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, concluding the season with title-deciding races across three consecutive days. While Kyle Larson enters the Cup Series finale as the overwhelming favorite to secure the championship, the battles in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Craftsman Truck Series remain considerably more open, featuring five and two title contenders respectively.
Larson Holds Command in Cup Series Fight
In the Cup Series, Larson arrives at Homestead holding a 67-point advantage in the standings and listed championship odds of 99.4 percent. The points leader needs to collect only 9 points during Sunday's finale to clinch the crown, regardless of the results achieved by any other competitor. While Larson holds a commanding position, Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin remain mathematically alive in the championship hunt, though both challengers must secure a race victory and satisfy demanding stage-point requirements.
Allgaier Faces Tiebreaker Hurdle in O’Reilly Battle
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series presents a far tighter contest, with Justin Allgaier holding a 22-point advantage over four pursuing contenders. Although Allgaier controls his destiny heading into the weekend, he currently loses the Chase tiebreaker to each of his four championship rivals. Behind him, fellow challengers Jesse Love and Corey Day also maintain a mathematical path to clinch the title if they can produce a perfect 76-point day.
Honeycutt and Riggs Clash for Truck Series Crown
The Craftsman Truck Series features a head-to-head title fight between Kaden Honeycutt and Layne Riggs. Honeycutt leads Riggs by 20 points entering the finale and needs 55 points to secure the title regardless of Riggs, leaving both drivers in control of their Truck Series title chances as they prepare for their showdown.
Homestead Weekend Schedule and Deciding Factors
Track action at Homestead begins on Friday with the Craftsman Truck Series championship race starting at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. The tripleheader concludes on Sunday with the Cup Series finale at 3 p.m. ET, where stage points, race finishes and Chase tiebreakers could ultimately determine the outcome of the weekend's closely contested championships. Detailed session times and competitor rosters can be reviewed in the confirmed Homestead-Miami entry lists and schedules.
